Clearwater Beach

This town boasts a large turnout for locals as well as tourists and is a favorite for many people seeking the delightful beaches, many hotels, great restaurants and night life. Clearwater Beach offers some of the best beaches in the United States and for that matter the world! With its soft, sugar-sand and clear blue-green waters, this beach was honored by TripAdvisor’s community of travelers as the No. 1 beach in the U.S. three out of the last four years (2019, 2018 and 2016).  This beach was also named No. 6 in the world in 2019 by TripAdvisor.

Sand Key Park

Sand Key Park is located just south of Clearwater Beach. It offers a quieter alternative to Clearwater Beach having many mid-rise condominium buildings and smaller hotels. However, the beach has the same sugar-sand texture that its next door neighbor, Clearwater Beach, offers. In addition, there are excellent restaurants and plenty of fun things to do like fishing, boating on the Gulf of Mexico or in the intercoastal channel  bordering its east side.

St. Pete Beach

About 20 miles south of Clearwater Beach is St. Pete Beach. This beach town offers a host of smaller hotels, AirBNB rentals, and condominiums for travelers to stay in. This beach town offers many of the same great amenities as other nearby coastal towns but also includes one of the best 5-star hotels in the Tampa Bay area. That hotel is the Don Cesar Hotel, also known as the” iconic pink hotel”, the color which it is painted. The hotel has a great restaurants and a poolside bar in addition to several hundred rooms.

Pass-a-Grille Beach

This beach is just south of the Don Cesar hotel. It is very quiet and great for those wishing to retreat to a quieter time and area. The small commercial district offers a number of local restaurants, including the restaurant named “The Hurricane”. The Hurricane is a must to go to for a meal or just drinks. It is housed in a Victorian 4 level building and includes a rooftop bar and fantastic views of the Gulf of Mexico. At sundown, the roof top plays a medley of music that is timed to the sunset. So after you sun and swim during the day, you can head over to The Hurricane for its fine food, drinks and views.
